Dr. Weinstein has been practicing general dentistry since graduating from the UofM, Faculty of Dentistry 1977. Although he enjoys all aspects of dentistry since 2010 he has had a special interest in the treatment of sleep disordered breathing. He has attended numerous courses and attained advanced training in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. He is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Weinstein understands the risks of untreated sleep apnea and works closely with patients’ physicians to be sure they receive the proper testing and treatment.
When he is not helping people with their dental needs and sleep-related issues, he enjoys fishing, golfing, cycling and family time
Areas of Focus: Diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders in patients of all ages.
Personal Dental History: Was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea a number of years ago and has been using a dental appliance since then. This has made a significant improvement in his overall health and well-being.

Dr. Pierce has been an instructor at the University of Manitoba since 2005 in the undergraduate periodontal program as well as the undergraduate Pediatric program. She was a dental assistant for 10 years prior to completing her D.M.D. and is very grateful to be able to provide her services to her patients.
Areas of Focus: All aspects of operative dentistry, children's dentistry, periodontics, crown and bridge and aiding patients with anxiety about their dental treatment.
Personal Dental History: Had jaw surgery and braces while in dental school, 2 crowns after tripping on a sprinkler and all four wisdom teeth extracted.

Dr. Laurence Lau received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Manitoba and now divides his time between private practice and teaching. Since 2002, Dr. Lau has instructed students in a variety of clinical and pre-clinical courses including Pediatric Dentistry, Operative Dentistry, Crown and Bridge, and General Practice. His practice focuses on Cosmetic Dentistry and expanding his knowledge in multi-disciplinary treatment to better provide for all of his patients’ needs. Dr. Lau is also experienced in treating children and helping sensitive patients cope with the anxiety of dental treatment.Englih

Nicole graduated with a BSc from the University of Winnipeg, and went on to complete her DMD at the University of Manitoba. Nicole develops excellent rapport with all of her patients, helping them meet their individual dental needs. Nicole is passionate about furthering her dental education through continuing education courses to provide the best care possible to her patients. Growing up in St James, Nicole is heavily involved in the community. She is currently the Vice President of the St James Ringette Association and has been coaching for over ten years. Her passion for volunteering lead her to Peru for a dental mission in 2017. When she is not practicing she enjoys spending time with family and friends at the cottage, trying new local restaurants and cuddling with her cat and dog.

Dr. Robin Lau, received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Manitoba in 2007, truly enjoys all facets of dentistry and is committed to the meticulous delivery of high quality treatment while maintaining top levels of comfort. His chair side manner and empathy is a distinguishing feature that keeps his patients healthy and happy. Enthusiastic about dentistry, Robin has travelled across Canada and the United States in order to pursue continuing education to provide the best, most predictable and advanced treatments. Outside of Polo Park Dental, he has been a clinical instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba for 8 years enriching the minds of dental students in the 4th year general practice and fixed prosthodontics clinics. In his personal life, he is engulfed with trying to decipher the science of cooking and loves absorbing different cultures through international travel. He has two sons (aged 5 and 3) that keep him grounded and whom remind him everyday that life’s greatest joys revolve around very simple things.
